Stop Dreaming and Start Living Your Dream

Do you ever have those days when the same subject keeps coming up? When you get the feeling that someone is trying to tell you something? That happened to me today.

First, a friend posted a link to this article on his Facebook feed:

Strangers Wrote their Biggest Regrets… They All Used the Same Three Letter Word.

The article tells about setting up a chalkboard on a street in New York City, asking strangers to write their biggest regret. Very soon, a common theme emerged… the biggest regrets were about lost opportunities. Things people did not do. Things they didn’t say. Relationships they didn’t build. Dreams they never pursued.

Later in the day, I received a newsletter from my friend Walt Hampton. Walt writes:

Do you know where the wealthiest place on the planet is?

It’s not Dubai, or New York. It’s not Saudi Arabia, or Tokyo or San Francisco.

It’s the cemetery. There, among the headstones, are all of the ideas that were never shared, the books that were never written, the songs never sung, the paintings never painted. There in the cold earth are the products never launched, the degree never sought, the careers never started.

All those things left undone.

How about you? What’s being left undone?  What’s holding you back from following your passion (you know, like setting off on a full-time RVing adventure?)

Are you going to sit and think about “tomorrow” or “someday” while each and every day rolls into the past? Are you going to play it safe, play small, and take your dreams with you to the cemetery?

Or do you want to play life full out, no holds barred, acknowledging risk, but daring to face your dreams anyway?

If you’re dreaming of RVing full-time, why not start planning now? That’s what I’m doing, and I’m inviting you to join me on this journey.

I’ll admit up front, I don’t know all the answers. Some parts I do know, like how to run a successful business and how to use your time so that you can make the income you need while leaving time for the things that called you to the RVing lifestyle in the first place. But’s there’s lots to learn about full-timing, so I’ll be researching and learning about this life I’m dreaming about.

I’ll be sharing both what I know and what I learn. I hope you’ll join in and share about the areas you know, and ask questions about the things you still need to learn. That way, we’ll both not only be learning but also helping others who want to stop dreaming and start living their dream.

So what’s holding you back? What would you like to know more about? Please let me know in the comments below.
