I'm Don. I'm the creator and founder of Outsmart Your Technology, LLC, where I help coaches and other heart-centered entrepreneurs get more clients so that they make make a living doing what they love (and avoid getting a "real job.")
Here at RVBusinessCoach.com, my goal is to help you follow your passion of RVing. If full-time RVing is calling you, but you don't yet have enough savings to allow you to quit your job and go full-timing, then you've come to the right place. I can help you design and implement a business that you can run from the road that will provide you with the income you need to start living your dream of full- or extended-RVing.

Who are your clients?
My clients are typically people who either want to go full-time RVing, or who have already started full-time RVing but need to generate more income.
For example, a typical client might be someone who is getting close to retirement, but have realized that their retirement income and current savings won't provide them with the funds they need in order to go full-time.
Another client might be someone who is a decade or more away from retirement, but is tired of the "corporate rat race" and wants to start enjoying the full-time RV lifestyle now instead of staying in a job they dread. But since they are not retirement age and can't dip into their retirement plans yet (at least not without severe tax penalties) they need to find a way to produce income to support their new lifestyle.
Other clients might have already started out in their new lifestyle. Perhaps they run a business already, but they're not producing enough steady income, so they are afraid they may have to leave this lifestyle and go back to a "real job." Or perhaps they are making enough money, but they're spending way too much time working and not enough time enjoying the lifestyle they set out to live.
You'll notice that the common theme here is that they want to enjoy a full-time RV lifestyle, but they need to generate income in order to do so.
So is this some kind of Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) or "Pyramid" scheme?
Absolutely not! It's about creating a business that supports your lifestyle, using skills you already have.
What if I'm not an entrepreneur?
I totally get that concern. When I got my MBA in 1998, I said that the #1 thing I learned was that I never wanted to run my own business. Well, as you probably know, you should "never" use absolutes... because 10 or so years later, I did exactly that.
The skills you need to run a successful business are not something you're born with. They can be developed.
Don't entrepreneurs work 24x7x365? Can I do this and still enjoy life?
How much time you'll want to spend in your business depends on how quickly you want it to grow, and how much income you need to produce from it. I'll help you work through a plan to be sure you can achieve the results you need while still enjoying the RV lifestyle.
When most people start a business, they quickly start to feel overwhelmed. But as business coach Matthew Kimberly says, “Overwhelm is often not having too much to do; it’s not knowing the next right step.”
Figuring out those "next right steps" can be daunting. I help you cut through all of the hype and clutter around how to create a business and get clients. My programs not only help you figure out those “next right steps,” they help you be more focused and work more efficiently so that you will actually get them done!
What kind of results can I expect from working with you?
While everyone's results vary, the end result is that you will get more clients and earn more money doing what you love. My clients typically:
- Experience less stress
- Feel more confident
- Spend less time working on "the business end" of things
Key benefits include
- Attracting more ideal clients
- Making more money
- Having less stress
- Enjoying better health (due to less stress and more time to exercise)
- Sleeping better (due to improved emotional state)
- Feeling "at one" with your business
- Feeling rewarded by having lots of successful clients
As an RVer, you'll be able to generate the income you need to support your lifestyle, without working yourself to death. You'll learn to identify what needs to be done and how to work efficiently so that you can still have time to enjoy life on the road.
Why do I need you? Can't I do this on my own?
Yes, you can learn much of what I teach you by reading books or surfing the web and finding videos or articles. However, the shear abundance of information can be confusing. You'll find Internet Marketers who tell you that all you need to have a 6-figure business is to offer online courses. Others will tell you that all you have to do is offer webinars. Others will tell you that you need to write a book. And while all of these strategies have worked for them, they won't necessarily work for you—at least right now.
I teach a proven system that will help you design and run your business. We'll go step-by-step, making sure you implement each step in the correct order to build a solid business with consistent income.
Where do you work? Where are your clients?
I live in the Raleigh, NC area. While I love working with clients face-to-face, I can meet “virtually” with clients in other areas. With telephones and easy-to-use video conferencing and screen sharing software, I can work with clients who are almost anywhere. In fact, this is how I work with the vast majority of my clients.
In Book Yourself Solid® we coach you to develop a "Why you do it" statement as part of your Personal Brand Identity. The "Why you do it" isn't tied to your job or your business... it's a part of who you are. Even if you changed jobs or built a new business, you'd have the same "why."
Here are a few of my passions that drive my "why," along with a short description of how they are relevant in my current business.
Making the world a better place
Deep down, I believe we all share a common mission: to make the world a better place. My ideal clients share this passion. They enjoy helping others overcome problems and achieve their potential.
I've always enjoyed helping others.
Chances are you started your business in order to bring your passion to the world and help others, too. But unless your business is actually making money, there's a limit to how much time and energy you can afford to spend in it.
That's why I'm passionate about helping others get more clients and grow their business. I want to make getting more clients and making more money easy—and fun!
As a Book Yourself Solid® Certified Coach I help coaches and other heart-centered entrepreneurs get more clients, make more money, and have more free time.
93% of those who implemented the Book Yourself Solid® system had a 40% increase in revenue their first year.
Using technology to make life better
I love using technology as a tool to help make your life better, keep you more focused, or help you work more efficiently. But I don't like wasting time getting technology to work. So rest assured that I am not going to try to get you to use technology for technology’s sake.
I am constantly on the lookout for technology that works—tools that will actually save you time and money. I introduce those tools and provide coaching to be sure they really do help you work more efficiently.
What can I say? I love RVing!
That's why my primary Target Market is people who want to do more RVing. It's a group of people that I enjoy hanging out with and talking with, and that I'm passionate about helping.
Put all of that together and you have my tagline:
Making the world better bit by bit.
