How To Think More Clearly
But then a funny thing happened on the way home. I was alone in the car for six hours, driving along listening to a playlist of my favorite songs… and more ideas kept popping into my head. It seems that having some quiet time allowed me to better process the event and let my subconscious work out new ideas.
So there I was, all alone, generating great ideas for my business that I wanted to capture. But how could I capture them? I certainly didn’t feel safe trying to make handwritten notes with pen and paper — or worse, whipping out my phone and trying to type in notes — while driving!
Fortunately, Siri came to the rescue. Using my Bluetooth headset, and dictating notes to Siri to email to Evernote, I was able to capture all of these new ideas as they came. Knowing that the idea was now in my system, I could let it go, leaving me with a clear mind. And that clear mind came up with dozens of creative ideas during that one drive!
A clear mind really DOES help you think more clearly. And the key to having a clear mind is to have a system that lets you capture thoughts anywhere, anytime, knowing they will processed at the appropriate time.
For me, that system is Evernote. Do you have a system? Please share it below.
